During Loyalkaspar’s logo redesign of SYFY Wire I was tasked with creating a couple cosmic superhero inspired looks for the new logo. The resulting frames play off properties like Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Thor Promo

At adolescent I art directed a series of Marvel promo packages for SYFY’s on-air and social teams. The Thor package was one of my favorites due to the versatile lightning rig I built using strokes and turbulent displace in after effects.

I explored two concepts, one more dimensional and expected and the other, a flat comic-inspired direction. Lightning and thunder was overwhelmingly preferred.
The Sandman
Originals Promo

I art directed and animated over a weekend this promo package for SYFY’s original film, “The Sandman”. In the film a little girl can summon a deadly sand creature whenever she feels threatened. This not only justifies the graphic treatment but also hopefully tells you enough about the film to keep you far away.

Fan of the Week

I art directed a graphics package for a recurring segment on SYFY. Each week a fan is highlighted and answers questions about their ‘obsession’. The features are positive and lighthearted, so I felt it was fitting to brighten the palette and add extra energy to the animations.
